Suggestions:
- We often use hot glue guns here and the best way I have found to unblock is to leave the gun on, standing up with the nozzle pointing down, also remove the stick if possible. This way any glue build up can drip out of the nozzle, the longer you leave it the better as this allows the gun to heat to maximum temp. This is not always successful but its the best solution I have found. Teachers can also instruct students not to squeeze too hard on the trigger to push the stick through, a light squeeze is generally enough to get sufficient glue out of the nozzle. Good luck.
- You can purchase hot and cold glue guns you just need to make sure the glue is the right type and size for the guns. I have noticed that the best way to clean hot glue gun is when they are actually hot. You will need a steel wool or pot scourer to clean outside. And another glue stick to insert and push out anything stuck inside. Apart from that, just tell the teacher to be more vigilant when they have the hot glue guns in class.
